RUMOURS & NEWS

 Lunchtime Update

Yak3 and Bronco stuck by the weather in France so will be unable to make todays show.

Luckily we have now added a Spitfire and Pitts to fill the gap.

The Battle of Britain Memorial flight will be flying the Lancaster in direct from the UK to display and returning to the UK so unfortunately they will not be on the static this evening.

Wind may well cause some cancellations but fingers crossed we will get a full show in.

Version 6 of the Display Timetable is now published and available to download by clicking the link below.

 Wednesday Evening Update

Well the weather has been rather challenging today to say the least.

Bronco failed to make it to the island but hopes to be here early tomorrow morning.

The logistics around the glider display proved too much with weather and validation delays so this will be parked for next year.

When the weather finally broke just after 1600, we did manage to get some validations completed.

Merlin also made it in, so weather permitting, it will take pride of place as the focus point for the Lower Park activities.

We have revised and further revised the timetable over the course of the day. We are now on Version 5 and you can download a printer friendly pdf but clicking the link below.

 Monday Evening Update

The Viggen, Draken, Lansen & Tunnan all made it safely to Jersey late this afternoon.

I am sorry to report that due to operational reasons the A400 will no longer be able to undertake it's flypast on Thursday.

The Weather is proving to be a little troublesome.

With quite a few aircraft planned in for tomorrow it will be interesting to see what makes it.

The Strong winds have also shifted the normal static line-up with aircraft now parking into wind.

New version of the timetable published tonight - sure this will be very fluid over the next couple of days.

Mike has added another Jet to the line up in the form of a Gnat.

You may also notice a new and rather unusual listing - GliderFX. This is still a very provisional display slot with the logistics still being worked on. A lot of plans and permission are going to have to align in order to make this work - fingers crossed - I should know more tomorrow evening.

We also hope to get the Twitter feed up an running tomorrow once the ops desk is fully manned.

As usual - watch this space for updates.

Mike has finally given the go ahead to publish this preliminary list.

As many of you will be aware, the Red Arrows are heading out East in September and as such will be missing from this years line-up.

Mike has been hard at wotk trying to find an act to close the show. He is waiting on confirmation which should come through any day now.
